so crushed!

many of you know about our cat lily passing; and then our fave pet mouse, lucy, died shortly thereafter. i got 2 new mice very soon & the decision to get the mice didn't feel 100% right at the time, but it felt much better than just wallowing in our grief over the loss of two prized pets plus another cat on his death bed (who has very miraculously turned around - i can't believe i was pushing hubby to him down). strange i was the one to find lily and lucy deceased.

tonight, our little tootsie roll died (new mouse - a cutie pie)...of course, i'm the one who discovers after dinner that she is gasping for breath and dying. ugh. she died in hubbys hands. my kids are sooooo sad. my son keeps saying 2010 is such a bad year for pets, and why do they keep dying with us?

well, in the past week or so, i decided to be back in the market for looking for a new dog as a family pet. i've been thinking and dreaming about this dog since may. actually, all of my life i've been dreaming about having a pet dog as  i was never allowed to have one. i'm ready and want to make a whole-heart commitment to our new member of the family. i know exactly how i want this dog to feel w/our family, mesh w/our personalities, our neighborhood, etc...so of course, now i'm skittish & am afraid about jumping into a dog-thing when my pet-luck has been on the downside as of late. we've had 3 pets die in about 3 weeks.

so...here is my question: when is it a good time to get a new pet?

i'm not even looking at a chart bc i just don't want to get my hopes up - would any of you mind looking at the chart for me?thank gawd the moon is in Sagittarius, and  not via combust!
