mel gibson on his rants? whoa. been wanting to post this - what is with the raging and ranting? is it the uranus/mercury opposition in 1st/7th house? good thing his moon is in libra, i think he would combust if it were in scorpio or something ; ) btw, i'm a scorp.

and, anyone else notice the 3 moons surrounding the planet pandora? it was beautiful scenery but everytime i see the moons i can't help but think how whacky a 3-mooned-planet would be...even if its pretend. what in the world would that do to the tides? maybe that's why the vegetation is so luminous at night? i know, it's just a story, but i get so stuck on the concept when i see it! anyone else?

I listened to the recordings this morning, ugh.

Uranus in the first speaks to outbursts for sure, sextile the Moon speaks to his creativity. Saturn moving over his Libra Moon right now (Libra can be mean, mean, mean). And Mars conjunct Saturn makes for an angry, potentially violent streak as well. Throw in the square to Pluto and you've got a powerhouse there. I think it's simply self loathing. Issues with himself as a man. Maybe he grew up with an explosive and/or alcoholic father, does anybody know if that's true? Not saying that setup couldn't be used for good, but first you have to heal your wounds and deal with your issues. Old Mel does not seem to have dealt too well with his issues.

i didn't know libra moon could be mean...does the moon have more of a tendency of that vs. the sun in libra?

i get the mars conjunct saturn thing re: violent streak, and it's also trining uranus. does that bring out the worst of them, then? interesting, my dear colleague has mars conjunct saturn, within minutes of each other they are so conjunct - she is one of the most loving people i know, i adore her, she has a host of health problems related to heart attacks and strokes - makes me wonder if that's all of that potential violence anger turned inward instead of outward.

well, mel apparently has been drinking since he was 13 i heard somewhere, so not only the alcoholism thing, but he certainly has some organic "dain bramage" going on at this point. i also heard that his long time agent, of 30+ years was very much a father figure, and shielded him from so much public stuff, don't know when he passed away, but seems he's just been falling apart since then. reminds me of "pampered child syndrome" when i used to work in highly affluent communities & their schools...shielded from everything, some would just fall apart and dysfunctionize in shocking ways as they transitioned into young adulthood.

i know its easier to blame the person...i seriously hope mel gets some serious help, takes some mega doses of quality fish oil for brain functioning, and that their daughter is protected and brings out the best in him. hopefully we'll see an inspiratonal mel redux in 3 years when saturn is out of libra.

I have Moon in Libra and work with someone who has Moon in Libra. I am sweet as sugar and she is mean as a snake. Just kidding......not?

I think my worst failing with Moon in Libra is NOT being able to make up my mind. but my Sag Sun makes me have foot in mouth disease too. oh well.

I don't want to look at his chart but he obviously has a drinking problem, and perhaps the media is now hypervigilant / hyperfocused on him so that could be another indicator of Neptune at play? You surely don't believe he's the ONLY mysogynist bigot in Hollywood...

So funny reading the list of his aspects, Molly cause I have alot of the same! haha

Uranus in the 1st - check
Mars conjunct Saturn square Pluto - check
Libra Moon - check

But anyway, Mel's got a void-of-course Mercury opposing his Uranus, which makes me wonder about outbursts, and transiting Uranus is currently making a trine to his natal Urnaus, so....

Mel's father was/is a bit of a well known hard-core anti-semitic type... so perhaps controlling and out-spoken wouldn't be too far off the reality? Defo father/masculinity issues...

I have the Mars Saturn conjunction as well, Libra rising. Pinky, I'm sure you know I'm not saying everyone who has these aspects is going to end up abusing others... but you can definitely see the ingredients that, untempered by self knowledge and compassionate values, lead up to violent outbursts like this. Just goes to show it's not all about the chart; it's about how we were raised and the choices we make, too.

jupiter and uranus opposing his MOON are certainly getting all our attention. But, god, haven't we btdt with Mel? I mean the antisemitism, the dad who was a holocaust denyier (sp?) the building the church on his land so he could have his own catholic church..he is a hot mess of yikes.

But there is something there for us. I can't put my finger on it. on another topic, I loved him in The Bounty. oh, well that was the other mel.
