it's called an Arabic part...
used long ago...
Asc + Sun - Moon is the formula...
said to be a spot, defined by sign and house, where you have fortune, or are lucky or able to do something beyond your training...
a good spot...in the 10th...be the authority...you have a gift of it...the sign will give you clues how to use the energy...
in a simple way...it's a 10 dollar gold coin that's always in your pocket if you reach for it...
mine is in Sag in the 5th...and when I reached for it, I found out I could make teaching (Sag) fun (5th). A gift I was never trained for...it's just my Part of Fortune...

oooohhh!!!! i LOVE this. i have POF in the 10th house conjunct venus and jupiter. i know i have a knack for things, but don't ever realize how profoundly adept i am until people take notice and are saucer-eyed. i feel i am very lucky in some respects, and when i've learned that when i've abused or misused this "fortune" somehow i can no longer access it, it turns on me. so i appreciate it in all of its forms.
