Lilith in general and Lilith in synastry

I have been interested in astrology for a long time. I am an astrology amateur who would like to learn more, observe more, understand more. This forum seems to be a good place to share and learn.

What about Lilith. Does anyone what to share how they experience their Lilith? I have never paid much attention to it until recently. I have met my partner not too long ago. Soon after we met, she told me "I feel I know you". There was an immediate connection between us, as soon as we met. Passion, intensity, instant emotional bonding, happened right away, from the first time we have met.

There is a lot going between our charts. Sun trines sun, moon trines moon in mutual aspect. Maybe this is enough to explain "I feel I know you". But I thought I should look further for karmic signs. I don't see relevant NN connections to planets. I do not know if Lilith can indicate a karmic connection. Her Lilith, as shown on astro.com, conjucts my Sun, orb zero. My Lilith is in Taurus, her Sun sign, loosly conjucting the Sun.

I wonder if the magnetic pull I feel toward her, at times, is at least partially connected to this Sun Lilith aspect. At times I feel that this attraction toward her is so overwhelming that I fear I do not belong to myself anymore... This intensity which posseses me in her presence scares me at times.

There is more than Lilith - Sun conjuction in synastry that speaks about attraction. There are powerful mutual square aspects between Venus and Pluto. Also my Mars opposes her Mars, and my Venus opposes her Venus. I am not aware though of anything karmic in particular in these aspects.

How does your Lilith show in synastry? Anything about Lilith if you feel like adding would be great. Thanks.

Great first post, and welcome.

I myself don't use Lilith ( maybe it's time I started?) However, I do have a lot of experience in the intense attraction of Mars oppos Mars, which felt like the "knowing" you mentioned. Intense, but usually ending in frustration, at least for me. I have had three partners now with this, and I hope I never do again!

With one of them I distinctly recall having what was probably our first real conversation and I was unable to hear the words he was saying, I was so dazzled by him and thinking, "wow this is the kind of guy I could marry." I did marry him, four years later. Twenty years later, I got fed up with feeling like his coal mine mule and got out. Difficult energy to harness for 'togetherness' in my experience.

But I don't mean to hijack yr conversation about Lilith, and I hope others pop in and contribute so I too could learn more. But I did want to encourage you to consider the Mars oppos Mars power

Thanks, Ellsbells99. I am trying to be aware of these challenging aspects in synastry. I guess I will find out more as the relationship, hopefully, progresses. Our Sun and Moon are beautifully connected in synastry, are happy. Venus and Mars are more challenged. How that will play out... it remains to be seen...

I tried to find out more about Lilith in this forum, but I don't seem to find a lot of threads on it, or much more on the Internet, at large. Maybe it is what you said - people don't use it much? It still intrigues me, the more so because of this zero orb Sun/Lilith conjunction in synastry.

oh wow, now you got me thinking i ran my chart to show Lilith, just to see, only to find it conjunct the ASC/Pluto conjunction of the person I'm moving in with next month =8-0

This is mostly a financial business arrangement, we've known each other for years, and have hopefully worked out personality conflicts. In the beginning I found him arrogant and controlling, he thought me overly emotional and impractical: what tore it for me was his hissyfit over a phone that was not returned to its charger -- in my own house. Yeah. Did I say controlling???

I surely would have liked to read something more positive about Lilith, but in the same time I knew that the common perception is rather negative. I like to think though that maybe there is more to it, more to Lilith. I read some quotes of Pema Chodron (she is not an astrologer, she is a shambhala buddhist, it is worth googling the name) who says that when you experiment fear you move closer to your truth. Maybe a negative aspect, or what is commonly considered as a negative aspect, can be worked on to find a precious gem beneath the rough surface. I guess I am rambling....

I agree with what is being said in the article you posted the link for about being careful communicating with your partner when Lilith is prominent in synastry. With her I get a vivid feeling that it has to be in whole honesty and awareness so as we won't trigger each other. I see the potential for mutually triggering each other.

you're right that was good. Those folk generate quality product

if we don't get any more input, I may just crawl through my database of charts this week and input Lilith to see if there are any interesting synastry aspects of couples I know the 'story' of.

Of course, it's difficult as an outside third party to truly know what's going in a relationship and what it feels like, but maybe we can get the broad strokes of how some Lilith stories end ~ or not as the case may be!

okay I got an interesting synastry example.

Lady in my last town was going through a bad divorce, but somehow ended up pregnant by a new boyfriend. She was furious since she felt New Boyfriend was trying to trap her. She ended up getting an abortion which was totally against her church, freaking her out further on top of all the other stress. His Uranus was on her Lilith by 1 degree. His Lilith was 6 degrees off her Venus, but I think that's too wide an orb to count?

This was one of the first charts I wanted to rerun with Lilith active, because I wanted to check the abortion against the archetype of the upset woman killing children :C I didn't know him but I do remember she was really shaken up by the whole experience, she became like a ghost of her former self for a while. Literally! I don't know how else to describe it. Paler, is all I can say. Like the life had literally been drained out of her.

Wow. Am I scaring myself silly here or what? I'm going to challenge myself to find a happy example next, and pull charts of partners who have stayed together!
