Pluto Opposite the U.S.A.'s Natal Sun

Not to borrow trouble, but I was musing a bit about the coming Pluto transit oppos. the USA's sun. I have known two Cancers who have suffered ill health under this influence ( due to their own blatant self-neglect in both cases.)

I figured those far wiser than I in the ways astrology affects politics might have already posted, and a goggling turned up this 2007 article which seemed so eerily descriptive that the cynic in me wondered just for a second if it had actually been written after the fact :

If anyone knows off the top of their head any historical precedents for what happened when nations experienced Pluto transits, I'd be interested in your sharing.
