Dreams
I've been asked by astrologers in the past if I had dreams that actually happen. I've got Uranus conjunct the Sun and Pluto conjunct Sun in the 12th house in the sign of Virgo (Uranus is in Libra).
Had a couple dreams lately that have occurred a few days later and I've had other dreams in the past happen too. I generally remember my dreams in the morning and some are just nuts, lol. My question is are they coincidental and if not, how do you know which dreams are foreshadowing future events and which are cannon fodder? |

Dreams
I don't personally believe that people can see the future- I'm just extremely science oriented, a big skeptic on all manner of things. What I do believe however is in the amazing awareness of our subconscious mind. Every waking second we're taking in information about the people and things around us- our brains have this incredible ability to suss out tiny nuances that we can't consciously. Example: like when we feel like a stranger is lying to us. We don't actually know this person so we can't confirm to disprove any particular aspect of their lives but something just feels wrong about what they're saying. While you're listening to this person speak you're actively gathering information about their tone of voice, hand gestures, body language, microexpressions on their face, dilation of pupils and tons of other things. Sometimes our sleeping mind is putting these things together for us and presenting us with a picture based on the data its accumulated- someone we thought was a friend stabbing us in the back- and soon after something bad happens between them and us. Are we psychic or dreaming the future? Likely not, we're just putting together an incredibly complex human puzzle after picking up a subtle tension in the friendship.

Dreams
HBG, I can't recall ever before having a dream come true -- then I had one so odd to me, so vivid, that I posted on this bb about it. That dream was so different, so vivid, I felt at the time I really was awake. It didn't feel like a dream at all. Was there perhaps a similar gut intensity to yr dreams that came real, or was it truly equitable to the regular type?
Itsbeau.in.F, I certainly must respect your beliefs as your God-given right and even, your gift of interpreting this world as you see it through the prism of your own natal horoscope (perhaps you have a lot of terrific grounding earth energy that might give you a propensity to not believe in pronostication... I know I sure wish I had more Taurus myself to take care of my earthly chores) However, since you say you are science oriented, I'd just like to suggest that since scientists can predict future tsunamis, earthquakes, hurricanes, illnesses, etc based on data or perceptions of current energy waves and from that point predicting gorward in terms of probability trajectories, couldn't it be similarly possible then that extremely sensitive people are simply able to pick up on the 'preshock' (as opposed to after shock :>) energy of coming events... ? After all, at a certain point in physics, isn't time a variable that doesn't exist as a constant, which can be adjusted as a variable dependant on other factors? (and that's not a rhetorical q btw: it's been a loooooong time since I was in physics class! )
