percent on Private messages?

why is there a percent marker on the Private message site. I sent an email off and it said 2% then when i recieved an email it said 4%. Is there only a certain amount of Private messages your allowed to do while your a member here? What happens once it reaches 100%?

That's right, to save space there's only a limited number of PMs that you can have in your Inbox and Sent Items. When the percentage gets high, you need to purge old ones.

The way you do this is as follows:

1. Click on "Messages" at the top of the page (that's in the menu that says Index...User list...Los Rules... etc)
2. This shows your Inbox with a list of messages.
3. Underneath this list, there's a link that says "Delete Multiple Messages". Click that
4. This adds a new column to the box showing all your messages, saying "Delete" and you can then put a tick in the boxes against the messages you want to delete.
5. When you're done (on that page - you may have more than one page of messages, but you can only delete ones shown on that page) click the "Delete" button.
6. You get asked if you're sure - if so, click to confirm and those messages go.

The reason for this is to save space, so provided you occasionally delete old messages you shouldn't have a problem. The percentage indicator is to warn you when it's getting full.
