Woman on the verge of a Neptune transit
My boyfriend and a couple of his family members opened a beer store during my Neptune transit, Nester. So I too found myself surrounded by an amazing selection of high quality beer. Beer is my favorite, too. Not sure if it is fortunate or unfortunate for me, but my body doesn't tolerate alcohol too well anymore. I think I blew out my liver in college. So I can't enjoy a beer very often. One or two a month, usually.

Woman on the verge of a Neptune transit
Welcome qgtn and I agree, what a wonderfully poetic (Neptunian) post ...
the vulnerability you describe is so instantly relatable -- I wonder if there isn't a piece of that in ALL of us , only it's just your time to FEEL this universal truth more intensely? For instance, I know a woman who had everything -- or so I thought. But when her husband had an affair and the marriage dissolved, she dissovled too! I guess what I'm trying to say is, perhaps it can be a blessing to be in touch with yr vulnerability now -- after all, while you may feel weak, you are still functioning, you're still showing up and punching a clock, you're ALIVE :>:> You're owning yr vulnerability, unlike my poor friend. And that actually takes real strength!!! but never the less, you say yr uncomfortably vulnerable so I should respect that. The thought just occured to me: if you're feeling too open to people around you, perhaps you might get something out of googling "sealing my aura". I learned how to do that when Nep. transited thru my first house... waaaaaay too sensitive... |

There is an ephemeral quality now .. like the edge of some stuff (possibly novel, enriching, new) is showing, a silver tantalizing edge. A little concerned Nep is natally in Scorp - with Scorp energy is finality, a big boom, but I don't sense any bad turns... |

Woman on the verge of a Neptune transit
For those people who had Neptune squaring Venus, I'm interested in knowing what effect you noticed in the affairs of the two houses Venus rules...
I have an inkling of how mine could turn out - if I let it. My two houses are the 5th and 12th. |

Woman on the verge of a Neptune transit
My Neptune conjuncting my H12 Venus in Aquarius was one of the most strong transits I ever had.
It last long, about 3 years, of confusing romance, platonic love, illusions, disillusionment. And lots of social life, drinking, going out, writting poetry a lot, during a time I was much depressed and melancolic. I can give 2 tips: first accept your moods and use them in creative affairs; second, be very careful with whom you fall in love with; usually it is only an illusion (so, enjoy and dont expect anything). This transit make me awaken spirituality. So much for only one result! |

RE: Woman on the verge of a Neptune transit
Hi! The posts in this forum are interesting reads.
I'm a fellow undergoing a long-time Neptune transit. (There is so much to talk about, I'll probably do it over many posts over time.) I have the Sun at 29 Aquarius as the end planet of a stellium in Aquarius (Mercury, Chiron, Moon in late Aquarius, Venus at 0 Aquarius, Mars at 10 Capricorn). Depression, fogginess, empathy with others, psychic moments, not knowing what I want or even need, projecting myself onto others - especially my spouse, long periods of time alone (wife travels overseas for weeks at a time) - yah, I go through all of these. It's often hard to get myself to do what needs to be done, especially around the house - at least up until the 'last minute'. For example, about 3 hours before getting to the airport for the Christmas holiday flight I wrapped almost 50 gifts. It was a mad rush effort that I had been putting off for a couple of weeks! I guess I'm naturally a happy person (Sun-Jupiter-Mc air-water trine), and I seem to come around to remembering to have hope in life and in my future. I also feel more and more cynical and distant from the people in my life. It's hard to find evidence that people really care, except occasionally or when it suits them (they want something.) Transit-wise, there are the Pluto-Mars conjunction, Uranus-Venus sextile, and Neptune-Sun conjunction. Triple whammy. |

RE: Woman on the verge of a Neptune transit
Sounds like Neptune's disillusionment stage:
"it's hard to find evidence people actually care, except for when they want something." Yes, but that does surprise you? I'm way more cynical than you: I believe most people don't care, are unevolved, and inherently selfish ~ including myself!! cuz I sure have to work hard these days to pump out the smallest positive energy, I feel so drained by my own neptune transit. But I also think, and this is just me, that real love, real Neptune compassion for the idiots of this world, (I have a thread on that somewhere here "arguing with a ghost") is what we're eventually called to do. At least by some ways of thinking: Or to quote Dr. Phil " Real love is loving people the way they are now, not the way you want them to be." Or the Bible for those who are Christian: Matthew 5:46 "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?" But don't mind me, I'm coming up on my Neptune conj. natal Chiron. Or even better, go ahead & yell at me. I know you want to with that Pluto trans. Mars and it will help activate my chiron martyr's syndrome

Sounds like Neptune's disillusionment stage ... cuz I sure have to work hard these days to pump out the smallest positive energy, I feel so drained by my own neptune transit. I can totally relate to feeling drained while under the Neptune transit. Maybe this makes me a little more needy than usual, and since the need doesn't get answered or even acknowledged, the cynicism sets in. Anyway, religiousness is also a theme in the Neptune transit - giving out positive energy selflessly and even self-sacrificingly. Actually, this is pretty common, especially since everyone has some Pisces and Neptune influence in their charts and lives. It's probably just more noticeable in people with a stronger and more highly expressed Neptune. Or at least it's more noticeable in hindsight to the people going through a Neptune transit. Only slightly off-topic, here are a couple of other manifestations of transiting Neptune in tight orb to my natal Sun (exact on Dec 30, 2011): I attended two functions at Aquariums - one in Denver, the other at SeaWorld in Orlando - both by invitation, and one a complete surprise from my family. As I'm gazing at the coral reef fish and at the Beluga whales, I couldn't help but wonder at this synchronicity. I mean - I never go to aquariums! And I got to go twice during the Christmas holiday during this transit! The other manifestation of transiting Neptune conjunct my Aquarian Sun is the deep quieting of my busy mind and a new openness to both the abundant variety of living organisms (the aquariums are an example of this display) and to writings by a very high consciousness and highly educated author of astrology, history, and psychology (Richard Tarnas, PhD). Currently I'm reading his books 'Passion of the Western Mind' and 'Cosmos and Psyche', and am finding them to be fantastic reads. For me, the image of Neptune being about wishes and dreams so imaginary and fantastic that they couldn't possibly be realized in our physical life (Neptune - the higher octave of Venus) compares well with the sense of opening to higher thought that I experience while reading his books. |
