Forums where you can give/get advice
Hello Nodeoramians--

I know that many of you are involved in other online communities besides this one. It's ok, all you "swingers," I'm not the jealous type! I would like to have some links here on Node-o-Rama to give to people who are looking for readings or advice on their own charts.. so we can at least point them in the right direction, and not leave them high and dry.

Do you have a favorite place where good astrologers with good vibes hang out and read charts for people? Please feel free to post a link here.

Best,
Molly

There is a MSN group called horoscope chat where people give chart readings for free. However, I do not know who they are/what qualifications they have. I link to it via a South African link - through groups - after I close my hotmail. So maybe each country has their own MSN link they can try? There is an astrology message board and an astro requests board. If you want to have your chart read, you need to post your request on the astro requests board. I'm sure if you search on google there will be a link.

Thank you Newmoon!

I know some astrologers hang around the public yahoo! chatrooms as well. I have gone in a few times and read for people. Most of the time, people in those rooms are just hanging out talking about anything at all, but if you were to go in and ask "is anyone here an astrologer?" you might find someone to answer your questions.

To get to the chatrooms, you need to set up a yahoo account and download yahoo messenger. It's pretty easy. The astrology chat rooms are under "Religion and Beliefs."

Well, I guess I am extremely biased as I moderate this forum but the Astrology board over at Aeclectic Tarot is geared towards beginners in astrology and we do accept charts provided that the member posting has contributed to discussion. I have to be very clear about this. As it's only myself and my co-moderator manning ship, I consider it quite rude to march right in and ask straight out for a reading. Those people get directed to astro.com lol

If one is not interested in sticking around for so long, there is the option of offering an exchange - for example, an astrology reading for two tarot readings - the specifics of which are left up to the individual readers.

Those offering readings are more than welcome to join however Big Grin It certainly takes a load of the mods and I can guarantee there will be opportunity to practice if you post offering free reading services.

[edit] b/c of the recent influx of ppl marching into ATF strictly looking for free readings, I've had to implement a change in forum policy. While reading requests are still allowed on ATF, members must adhere to a number of guidelines in order to qualify (e.g. post count etc). Full details on the site.[/edit]

Hi Jimjam.. it's true they chitchat a lot about non astrology topics. But at times there are very good conversations there, particularly in Astrology 2 and 3. You can often times find folks to talk astro with you. Other times nobody wants to.

Mystic Wicks has an astrology forum, and they're often happy to give readings. Some pretty competent people there, too.

I recently found a site hosted by astrologer and author, Maurice Fernandez. It's called "Evolutionary Astrology" and I've found intelligent astrological conversations going on in the forum. Check it out and see what you think at:

hello molly // this seems to be ur home // my ex of 10 yrs fell on this sight and forwarded it to me //what caught my eye were comments concerning snode/saturn and i have transiting saturn approaching snode in 7th // recently my daughter & i have been having success w/new moon-full moon goal setting sessions and we decided to invite my ex at todays session // our aim is to accomplish, sometimes baby step goals in 4 areas ; Physical,Emotional,Mental,Spiritual // my ex's emotional goal was to forgive me about issues in our marriage of 25 yrs. , she also wants to volunteer the time to set up and enter data (dob's) into a data base that i've been talking about for years !!! its also a power point in my natal chart, snode conjunct mars // ive found that people in my recruiting business born around oct 5 have made me tons of $$, they often are hiring managers who hire 4 or 5 candidates through me exclusively.

this is my 1st foray into this kind of forum, i trust my comments are informative and in proper order // thanx
